The role movies play

It all started in 2009.  I went with my boyfriend to watch a movie, Angels & Demons staring Tom Hanks.  It was an amazing movie, filmed in the Vatican.  The Vatican…no words to describe it.  At that point I fell in love with Rome.  ”I want you to take me there“, I said to him.

Before the “Angels and Demons” there was another movie that year, “The Thomas Crown Affair“, staring Pierce Brosnan and Rene Russo.  What I remember is:  she walks in the porch with just a scarf tied in her hips, she looks at the view, the view was just the blue sea.  Nothing luxurius, just the sea.  “I want to go there, I want to go to a place were anything I see is the light blue of the sea”, I said to my boyfriend.

Yet that year we really couldn’t afford any trip, that summer we ended up camping for a week, but in 2010 I took a deep breath and a huge step.

I’m pretty sure, now that I’m writing this, if everything goes well, from May it will take me a long time to plan another trip.

After the sunset

I’m watching After the Sunset, you know where Salma Hayek and Pierce Brosnan found their little paradise in Nassau? Ok, I know not all the movie was filmed in Nassau, but is it a bad thing that every time I watch this movie I want to go to the Bahamas?

Last year I promised my boyfriend we would go to great beaches and rest for the summer.  Indeed, we visited great beaches in Mallorca but did we relax?  No, we did not.  We run all day to explore the island.

 

Which island was beautiful of course and amazing.  But from our 15 days vacation we came back more tired than we left.

So, for this year, I’m planning a real relaxed vacation.  I need a place to hide, nice blue waters to cool me and far from the crowd.  Is it too soon to plan my summer vacation?  With this cold winter, I so need to get away.  I found a great little place in Corsica.  And I don’t know if you know, but I love France.  I even bet you, there will be some great italian espresso as Sardinia is just across.

For now I’ll keep watching the video, cause this is something I need to thing carefully. 

It’s a little extravagant, don’t you think?
