Picture Happiness

I’m gonna tell you a little secret.  Whenever I look at this photo I feel happy and sad at the same time.  Why is that?  How come a photo makes us feel on such ways we can not describe?  And clearly it’s not the photo it self but what it represents, at the time it was shot, at the place, with who, and so on.

The Eiffel Tower, the global icon of France, one of the most romantic cities of Europe, Paris, fighting for the lead with Venice.  You’ll find plenty of pictures of Paris in this blog in the future, all taken by me.  Why?  I’m simply in love with Paris.  And each and one of those pictures remind me that I have being there, twice, and how difficult it is for me to get the chance to return.  Just a picture can make me happy, for a moment it’s like I’m there again.

Another amazing thing I’ve discovered in my photos of Paris, is that, although I’m not a professional photographer, they are all stunning.

Tomorrow I’m going to take photos of another, very well known monument just to compare the quality of my photos.  I’m wondering if it has anything to do with the state of my being at the time of shooting.

Getting back to my topic, I believe we all have an image for happiness, but can we picture it?  If we could, what would that image be?

It’s been a while

…Since my last post.  I know.  It’s been a hectic month, June.

To sum things up,

• I went to Paris, I had a great time.
• My man proposed in our return.
• This is my ring, bought from Swarovski store near Arc de Triomphe.
• I forgot my book on the plane, I hope someone enjoyed it.
• We work 12 hours a day now, still the only thing I hear is that they have no money to pay us. (I don’t get that)
• I’m redacorating my home by myself, interior/exterior.  I’ve made plenty of things using pallets.

PS. I missed my blog and I hope I get the chance to write more often.

Bahamas weather (updated)

I’m wondering how’s the weather like in Bahamas during November…anyone has a clue?

Update:

I’m thinking for a week in October or November, don’t know yet which month is better.  Can’t afford to go on August nor July, it’s very soon to save money, since I have already planned a trip to Paris for May.  I read the summer starts May and ends October so maybe October is a good choice.  What concerns me most, except hurricanes of course, is the weather.  From where I stand we get 30 celcius in the summer so I pretty like this kind of temperature, wouldn’t like to go and don’t swim if you know what I mean.  25 celcius is fine I guess, from what I read for October.

I’m also considering a cruise but I don’t know if I can handle more than 8 hours on the ship.

Searching for a fabulous hotel in Paris

For me fabulous is: budget and with view of Eiffel Tower…
Any suggestions?

I’ve come up with Derby hotel Paris, Royal Phare hotel Paris, Hotel Eber Mars, La Bourdonnais hotel, Kensington hotel Paris and Best Western Au Trocadero.

But still, I haven’t decided yet.  I have a “friends & family” in Holiday inn discount, but I don’t really like the locations cause it will be my second time in Paris and I would love a view of Eiffel Tower.

 

 

Why you should go to Paris this May

Ok, I have to face it, I’m addicted to traveling and  I would love to write about my trips someday.  But before I get to that I have to write the truth.  The truth is, yesterday I was watching the last two episodes of Sex n the City yet again.  You know, where Carrie goes to Paris with Alexander but returns with Mr. Big;  Anyway, I’m so in love with Paris since that episode aired, who isnt’?   Everyone loves Paris, everyone loves Carrie.

So because I’ve been to Paris before I can say it’s magical.  I went this Christmas and it was beautiful.  I’m thinking of going again this year and when is the perfect time for that;  May it is.

Disneyland (The weather in May is much better than December don’t you thing?)

Sade concert – 17 May (Sade is performing concerts in Europe and as a European citizen of a country she won’t perform I must see to attend at least to one of her shows)

Moto GP – 14 May (It will be an unforgettable Sunday, instead of watching it from my living room, I’ll be going there)

Do you need any other reasons, do you have any excuses?  It is a four-day trip you shouldn’t miss.  So please dear EasyJet, low your prices for us….
